Information You Choose to Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor types a name, location, or another term into a search box, that query is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. Christian County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms and technical practices govern the query after it is submitted.
Messages Sent to the Site
If a visitor sends an email or uses a contact form, the message and return details are retained as needed to read and answer the inquiry. We do not share a private message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. A message sent here does not go to Christian County, the sheriff, a jail records custodian, a court, or Missouri corrections.
Technical Details Collected During a Visit
Routine server, analytics, and service logs may receive basic technical details whenever a page loads. This information helps the site function and provides an overall view of traffic. It can include:
- The internet protocol address associated with the request
- The browser name, type, and version
- The device category and operating system
- The pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website or source, when one is supplied
- The date and time connected with the page request
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site, remember limited preferences, support advertising, and measure performance. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies. Blocking them may cause some site, search-partner, analytics, or advertising features to work differently or not work at all.
How the Information Supports the Site
Information collected through these channels is used for limited operational and service purposes. Those purposes include:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and working as expected
- Sending search requests to the outside partner selected by the tool
- Learning which Christian County release-record guides visitors find useful
- Detecting errors, misuse, security concerns, and other technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may be selected according to visitor interests
Government Portals and Other Websites
Christian County Released Inmates links to sheriff release-record resources, Missouri court and corrections portals, federal or immigration custody tools, and third-party search services. A linked site controls its own collection, storage, security, cookies, and disclosure practices. Its privacy notice applies once a visitor follows the link or submits information there. This site cannot set or enforce the policies used by Christian County, a Missouri agency, or a private provider.
Some advertising partners may use cookies or comparable technology on their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select targeted advertisements. That tracking is performed through the partner’s services, not through a release-record database maintained by this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may still reach service providers or public authorities when needed for the functions described in this notice:
- Search partners that process terms submitted through their tools
- Analytics providers that measure visits and site performance
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order
These recipients handle information under their own agreements, legal duties, and privacy practices. A valid subpoena, court order, warrant, or other binding process may require disclosure of information that is available to us.
Reasonable Safeguards and Their Limits
We use ordinary administrative and technical measures intended to protect information under our control. No website, internet transmission, storage platform, or connected service can be promised as completely secure. Christian County Released Inmates therefore cannot guarantee that a breach, interception, unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive identifiers that are not needed for a message.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen years of age. If a parent, guardian, or affected person believes that a minor submitted personal information directly to the site, they may contact us and request its deletion. We will review the request and remove information under our control when reasonably verifiable and applicable.
Privacy Requests and Choices
Depending on the law that applies and the information we hold, a visitor may ask us to take one or more of the following actions:
- Provide a copy of personal information held about that visitor
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete personal information where erasure is required or appropriate
- Opt out of certain processing when that choice is legally available
A request may require enough information to confirm identity and locate the relevant data. These choices apply to information controlled by this site. Requests about a Christian County jail record, Missouri court file, MODOC record, search-partner query, or advertising profile must be directed to the organization that controls that information.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
This notice may be revised as site practices, service providers, technology, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page and will identify a new effective date. Continued use after a revision means the visitor accepts the notice then in effect, so visitors should return to this page from time to time.
